  • Lula Lambert MA, Resident

Lula Lambert is a Resident in Counseling and Art Therapy. She completed her Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Counseling at George Washington University, and she is a member of the American Art Therapy Association. Lula provides therapy to individuals and families for a range of issues including anxiety, depression, stress and conflict, life transitions, grief and loss, and behavioral issues. Through the use of art therapy, play therapy, and sand tray therapy, she creates a space for clients to cultivate coping skills, initiate self-expression, and stimulate self reflection and insight. Lula is also a certified yoga instructor, and incorporates mind-body connection and mindfulness practices into her therapy. She has received specialized training in trauma and grief treatment, as well as autism.

Counseling Experience

Lula previously worked at Accotink Academy providing individual and group art therapy to middle and high school aged children with depression, anxiety, emotional disturbance, behavioral outbursts, developmental delays, and autism. She also completed a clinical internship at the George Washington Art Therapy Clinic, where she provided individual art therapy to clients suffering from trauma, depression, and anxiety. Previously she completed a clinical internship at Sibley Memorial Hospital working with individuals and groups of patients on an acute, intensive care unit. Lula has training in applied behavioral analysis work with children on the autism spectrum as well. She takes a client-centered approach to therapy, and utilizes various expressive modes to support clients as they explore their own strength..
